Hildene History Book Club discusses The Year of Decision 1846 by Bernard DeVoto. This is the first in the author’s trilogy about US Western expansion. The group meets on the second Monday of the month, attendance each month is not a prerequisite.

Join our very own Bennington Free Library reading and discussion group titled Portraits of the Artists: Novels about Painters. There are four books to be read in a 3 month time frame. The first book is La Tour Dreams of the Wolf Girl by David Huddle, and will be discussed on Sunday February 3, at 2pm at the Bennington Free Library. The host is Geraldine Pittman de Batlle, and the event it sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council and Friends of the Bennington Free Library.
