We want YOU!

December 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Thanks to all our readers, tipsters and supporters for making our first month so great. Feels like we’ve been around forever but it really hasn’t been that long. A couple of items we want to take care of before the end of the year:

READERS We love our readers and hope you will continue to check GoBennington regularly. We try to list events up to a week before they occur, unlike some other outlets. Just like you, we were tired of finding out about things just minutes before or even after they had happened. Our success is largely dependent on word of mouth, and this is totally a grassroots effort. If you see an interesting event we post, please email it to or tell a friend who would also be interested.

BUSINESS OWNERS The new year is coming and we are scheduling our ad space for January. If you would like to advertise please drop us a line. There is also a page you can visit, ADVERTISE WITH US, seen at the top of this page. You can find and download our advertising rates. We’re competitively priced and we reach the people you want—local Bennington/Southern Vermont people who are computer savvy, and who are looking for things to do around town. Although this is a free listing service, it takes a lot of time and expense to keep it going. By supporting us you can help keep GoBennington around.

If you’ve got any additional comments, here’s our email gobennington@gmail.com

Small Works art show, Seven Mountain Acupuncture, Jan 4

December 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

fern paintingLocal artist and GoBennington contributor, Patricia Coyle, kicks off the New Year with an art show of small, 6 x 6 inch, paintings. Inspired by nature and botany, these “small works” will brighten your world this winter. From the press bio:

When I was 8, I wanted to be an astronomer. My family said to me, “Too much math.” My alternate career plan was to be an artist, and I have never second guessed my path in life.

I feel at home in nature and am always amazed by the gifts I find, large or small. Forever looking for the connection between object and space, landscape and air, and the intimacy between the two.

Sponsored by Seven Mountain Acupuncture and Creative Living Shop, 493 Main Street, downtown Bennington. Friday, January 4, 7 pm, refreshments will be served.
