Christmas at the Farm, Billings Farm & Museum, Dec 22

This isn’t the type of thing we usually list, as it lasts over a week, but it sounds too good to pass up. Experience the traditions of a 19th century Vermont Christmas with a visit to the Billings Farm & Museum this holiday season. Tours of the authentically decorated farmhouse, visits to the dairy farm for interactive programs, holiday activities, plus the Academy Award^® nominated film, A Place in the Land will be offered. Recognized as a Top 10 Winter Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
December 22 – January 1, 2008 (excluding Christmas Day) from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

PLUS December 26 – January 1: Horse-drawn sleigh rides (conditions permitting). Will Danforth will perform traditional holiday music in the 1890 Farm House parlor on Friday & Saturday, December 28 & 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Day Six: Glass Fusion Studios

One of my favorite stores to pass by and window shop at on Main Street is Glass Fusion Studios, owned by Joe Cardamone. His store has some of the most exquisite glass pieces. From Tiffany-styled window mosaics to lovely dishes and bowls and the most beautiful night lights. After we asked him of his own recommendation of what might be a good holiday gift, he simply suggested that shoppers “support local artists by coming in and buying.”
